Christina Booth from Washington was charged with attempted murder in January 2015 after police said she sliced the throats of her children with a kitchen knife to keep them quiet for her soldier husband.
According to authorities, she may have been overloaded by the responsibilities of caring for a 2-year-old daughter and 6-month-old twins.
Her children are in protective custody following a recent medical procedure at a hospital about a half-hour drive from Tacoma.
According to court filings, Christina Booth’s husband, Thomas Booth, told investigators that his wife was overworked while raising the children and was receiving treatment for postpartum depression. He mentioned how he and his partner had watched a movie at home while each sipping two huge glasses of wine.
In a statement she said, “I hate myself very much, I’m disgusted with myself, I’m not going to forgive myself.”
