Mike Munchak, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive line coach, was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after he pushed the Cincinnati Bengals’ Reggie Nelson on the Steelers’ sideline during the first-round playoff game Saturday.
Munchak also pulled Nelson by his long tresses, which, as CBS’s Phil Simms helpfully pointed out, is not a penalty if players are doing it to each other.
Nelson, the Bengals’ safety, had shoved Steelers running back Jordan Todman out of bounds and became tangled with Munchak, who at first appeared to be trying to slow Nelson’s momentum, on the sideline. Nelson retaliated by pushing back.
