On June 27, 1992, Jordan Hicks, a middle linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League(NFL), was born. He participated in collegiate football in Texas.
Hicks had 216 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 36 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, four interceptions, ten pass breakups, and a touchdown over his final three seasons as a starter for the football team at Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio. Parade, USA Today, and EA Sports all named him an All-American. Hicks received the Dick Butkus Award for High School in 2009.
He was one of 34 college linebackers who went to Indianapolis, Indiana for the NFL Scouting Combine. Hicks completed all of the combine exercises and finished all linebackers’ 40-yard dashes in eleventh place. Additionally, he had the third-best broad jump and vertical jump among all competitors in his position group.
Hicks joined Malcom Brown, Quandre Diggs, Jaxon Shipley, Geoff Swaim, Cedric Reed, Mykkele Thompson, and eight other players at Texas’ pro day on March 24, 2015. He chose to stand on his combined stats and solely take part in positional drills for scouts and representatives from all 32 NFL teams present, including Matt Patricia, the defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots.
